Do I need to create a customer account for placing an order?
You do not need to open a customer account to order from our online shop. However, an option to create account is available too and we leave it up to you to decide create or not create one!
Why do you need to create a customer account?
A (free) customer account can be created. The customer can use his account to look at the status of his order and to receive newsletters, product updates and special ofer promotions if wanted. We consider all customer data as strictly personal and will never give this data to third parties!
How long until I can expect my canvas to arrive ?
We need 2 to 7 working days to make your order. Once your order has been completed it will be dispatched immediately. For UK and Ireland customers it takes 2 to maximum 4 working days for delivery. For EU countries it takes up to 10 working days. For USA the delivery will take up to 2 weeks.
When the products are dispatched we will infom you immediately by e-mail. You can also contact us with regards your delivery at support@printingCanvas.co.uk.
Deliveries can arrive at anytime between 9am - 5.30pm, so if you are not in during the day it may be easier to arrange the delivery to be made to your work address.
Do you do any more sizes?
On each product listing we show the range of sizes we do. However, please feel free to request other sizes. We will be happy to discuss such a requirement at any time.
Do you have a gallery or somewhere I can see examples of the canvas?
We own only a small workshop based in Sheffield, UK. Here is where we hand make all works. We only sale our works via this online shop.
Can you print my own pictures?
Yes, we can do that.
My picture is not in a digital format?
All you have to do is post your printed picture, negative film or slide to us with your order form and payment confirmation. We have professional scanning equipmment to scan your picture at high resolution and convert it into digital format. One scan is for free for customers who have placed an order with us.
Will the colours I see on screen be the same as the finished canvas?
Every individual PC monitor has different colour settings and the colour reporoduction could often be different from the one of the actual print. We use special equipment to calibrate our monitors so that the prints are produced exactly as they look on our screen. However, if your monitor is not calibrated then what we see could be different form what you actually see on your monitor. The print will be matched to our monitor settings and there is the possibility that the print colour is slighly different from the one you might have expected. If you would like to check the colour reproduction we are happy before actually print the image to send you a proof printed on a smaller size poster paper for additional fee of £10.00 (this will be charged separately in addition to the print cost). With the proof print you can see how the colours will be repoduced before the final print.
Will my canvas be the same the image I see online?
Yes, the images shown on our website are already cropped for the gallery wrap method of stretching we use. So, the crop you see is the crop you will get.
How do I care for my canvas?
We can cover the canvas with special protective coating which will protect it from sun light and moisture. This service is optional for some of the products. However, to maintain and increase the lifespan of your canvas we suggest that you do not expose to moisture and do not clean with a wet and damp cloth.

How does the shopping cart work?
Just like a shopping trolley at a supermarket, you can put things in your cart (by clicking on the add to basket button) without having to buy them - it is just a way of holding onto things that you are interested in.
You are not committed to a purchase until you take your selected item(s) through to the checkout. However, you cannot purchase an item until it has been added to your cart, so remember to check the contents of your cart carefully before you check out.
You can check the contents of your cart at any time by clicking on the view cart link along the top of the page or on the right hand side of the category pages. If you want to remove something, simply tick the remove icon and click on update botton .
When you have finished shopping click on the cart content, then click on proceed to checkout.
You will be then asked for your personal details.
How secure is the website?
All your payment details are processed by a secure server and this information is sent by 128 bit encryption meaning it is impossible to break the code and steal your information. For processing the payments we use the Pay Pal payment system. For this reason we do not have any access to you credit or debit card details that are securely guarded by Pay Pal.
A small padlock icon will appear in the status bar of the browser at the bottom of your screen when you are entering your card details, signifying you are currently on a secure platform. Another sign that you are on a secure site is that in the address bar of the browser you will notice that the beginning of the website address will be https:// instead of http://.
What about my personal details?
Your personal details are essential for the delivery of the items you have ordered. This information is for our records only and can be removed upon written request from yourselves. It will not be supplied to any third parties.
Which payment/switch/credit cards do you accept?
We use the Pay Pal and Google Checkout payment systems. It is possible to pay via Pay Pal even if you do not have Pay Pal account using Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Maestro, Solo and Delta. Personal cheques are also accepted.
What happens if I wish to place an order but would rather not use my credit card online?
Although the Pay Pal credit card processing is totally secure, you can place an order and pay by cheque. We will accept a personal cheque, however we have to wait 3-4 days for clearance before proceeding with your order.
Can I place an order and arrange for it to be sent to another address?
When entering your personal details you will be given an opportunity to say whether you wish to use your own address or supply a different delivery address.
How much is delivery?

(2) The delivery to EU countries and Republic of Ireland is £14.99.
(3) The delivery cost to USA and Canada is £25.00.
(4) The delivery cost to Japan and Australia is £39.50.

Who is the copyright owner of the images I send to you for printing?
By sending to us your image, you are automatically acknowledging that you are the copyright owner of this image, or have obtained permission from the copyright owner in written form, which permits us to print it in accordance with your order. We can not use your images for other printing or online display unless you authorise us to do so in written.
